Video not displaying

    Hello,

    When I add a video to appear similar to featured image in a post if I preview the post the video displays no problem but once I publish the post both the thumbnail and video changes to a placeholder image but when I click on them the video shows, deleted it and tried several times and cleared the browser.

    I have no problem inserting videos elsewhere in the posts and displaying them.

    Sorry. For the Featured post you’d need to make the same changes to content-featured.php.

    Thanks that worked just fine, only problem now is video thumbnails?

    You could probably adapt the same change to the Recent Posts section in alx-tabs.php. I haven’t tested that but I think it would make the video actually playable in the sidebar, something you may or may not want. Or you could set a Featured Image on the post using an image of the video. Retrieving an image for a YouTube video is discussed in this thread.

    How do you insert the tagline like that beside the logo?

    Also, how do you put the thumbnail pictures on the sidebar with the descriptions?

    Hi sohowp,

    The tagline was added as part of the logo using paint.net and in order to add video thumbnails with excerpt I used another free plugin called video thumbnails by Sutherland Boswell if you have a video in your content it picks that up as the thumb if not then just temporarily add your video to content publish it then edit your content and delete the video the thumb will be saved. I also used another plugin fancy posts by Mazinger for the sidebar display.
