I tied it with themes, Twenty Fifteen, Twenty Fourteen and Twenty Thirteen, it worked every time. Can you please let me know what theme you’re using so that I can help you out?

I checked it out with Klean theme as well, and its still working. I think you’re trying to use the Custom Link option in the Menus page, but instead, make use of the ShortCode item, since this ShortCode is giving out complete HTML with link and text.

Ah! I did that…
I just pasted the below shortcode into the second box, clicked “Add To Menu”
[wp_colorbox_media url=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/XtDkXaJS6JE” type=”youtube” hyperlink=”click here to pop up youtube video”]
Afterwards, when I try to click on the link in the site, it doesn’t do anything…
