    Hi –
I’m just getting started on a project that’s wordpress-based but I’m not super-familiar with wordpress. I’ve done some digging on this question but haven’t found a specific answer in all the static.

Basically, my client has a video library hosted on Vimeo of hundreds of videos. The vids are generally sequential. It seems to me there should be a way to have a plugin or widget that allows for these videos to be cycled through (with meta-data added to them, etc) without needing to create a new page or post for each video. In my searching, all I’ve found are templates (and some widgets that don’t do things like this). It seems like this could be just a DB table and a single page with buttons on it to make calls to the db.

Anyone know if that’s possible or if something exists like this? Part of the reason it’s important is admin simplicity and simple organization of it.

Thanks and apologies if this is a bit of a n00b question.

    Ben

  • Hi, @benxmy!

It looks like the Vimegraphy plugin can help you here – it will automatically recognise new videos added to the linked Vimeo account, and allow you to create video galleries for your client’s customers to look through.

Outside of existing plugins, however, this kind of automatic video population will require some mildly tricky custom development. If you’re not comfortable doing this development yourself, I would recommend contacting a Vimeo plugin developer to see if they’re available to do perform this custom work.
