• Greetings,

Using the latest version of the plugin.

Copy a VEVO link, paste into the embed code box, click Normal as the mode. The video frame is full width, but the height of the video is maybe 60px. I tested embedding a Youtube video and that worked. Tested a Vimeo link and that worked. Tested a different VEVO link and did not work.

Created a fresh post and only entered the shortcode. Still not working properly.

Here is my shortcode: [vevo id=”USUV71400477″ mode=”normal” autoplay=”no”]

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Wait…

I see this thread marked as resolved when there isn’t a reply and the issue still remains.

    Okay.

For the second time this post has been changed to RESOLVED, yet NO ONE HAS ANSWERED ANYTHING!

1.) Tell me operator error if it’s an error on my part.

2.) Tell me you are looking into it.

3.) Tell me an update is on the way to fix the issue because it is a plugin related issue.

4.) Tell me how to resolve the issue personally.

5.) Simply reply back to the thread.

5.) Stop changing the status to RESOLVED without replying because that is some atrocious support.

Maybe I should just keep making the same support thread since no one is answering this one and simply changing the status to resolved.

I already answered this and I think it was censored by moderators because this forums require me to be nice to everyone.

You are unable to read and I am fed up with people like you. There are 3 places that link to the description how to report a issue to this plugin. You refuse to read them so I have no plans in answering you. Your tone and rage is totally unacceptable.

This is open source you have no clue how many multiple hundreds of hours I worked on this and how laughable the donations are, you probably never have donated and yet you demand some answers as if I you are my employer and you can command me.

People who cant pay attention for 2 minutes don’t deserve wasting any of my free time. It’s probably worse then this, you probably did read the sticky and just decided that you have the right to demand answers here anyway.

Moderators please do me a favor and close this thread. Also my question about if support can be deactivated (The widget, with counting of threads and the and the green button here) was not answered, please answer me. I always did extremely good support here, and will continue to do on my site for free but I cant let this people treat me like shit anymore.

Why are developers treated so badly here and users can do whatever they want? Write negative bug report reviews that get approved … the should be disallowed. And I can not even be not nice to people who do not deserve any better.

@quillvellum, Disregarding the fact that your thread was marked resolved, you are posting on a volunteer-driven forum that cannot do time limits on support requests. If it turns out nobody did post on your thread please take this as a consequence of using free forums and lower your expectations the frequency of support given here.

@nico, please avoid making remarks about individuals even if they are insulting your plugin (not saying they are or aren’t). You’re right we do everyone to be nice to everyone else on WordPress.org’s forums, but completely understand how difficult it can be to take negative reviews and not be appreciated for the work you put in to the community. You have expressed your feelings well apart from remarks to individuals themselves.

    Nico/Andrew,

Relax, playboy. Seriously. There was no rage. My apologies for submitting this thread in the wrong location. No excuse. My fault. Your rant was a bit much and clearly a manifestation of some ongoing issue or something else.

I understand how support works. My issue was the post was changed to resolved twice when I saw no resolution. I wasn’t complaining about Nico’s support timing; I had issue with the nebulous situation regarding my support claim.

As far as being negative to you or your plugin, I haven’t. I haven’t submitted a review because this is my first time using the plugin. I can’t speak for others, but I haven’t “treated you like shit.” The reality is that WP and the various WP developers can be a bit much to navigate. It’s clear that I need to be more aware of how I navigate the community. Lesson learned.

With that said, Happy 420 to all. Everyone in this thread needs to smoke a bowl.
