This website is working as expected, however, when you type in the entire string http://hopecenter.ca/ in google’s search box, you will be shown result like this
    screenshot

The first entry in the google result is hopecenter.ca/en/hope-centre/
however, the path (/en/hope-centre/) doesn’t exist at all

there is no folder of /en under the root

    How could this happen?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • That has nothing to do with the website itself. Google (and any other search engine) can’t know when you change your website permanently to re-index it as it might be a temporary change even for maintenance etc.

There are 2 ways on fixing your issue, you either wait for the search robots to do their work whenever they do it or you can go to the Google Search Console and ask for a removal of old urls and to re-index your site by submitting your new sitemap.xml.
