• There is no free plan anymore, and features that used to be available for free now seem to be locked behind paid plans.

This makes the plugin much less useful for small websites or low-budget projects. I also noticed that other users are complaining about the same issue, so I’m clearly not the only one.

I’ve now found a better alternative for small websites: Cookiebot, which still offers a free option for smaller sites.

CookieYes used to be a good solution, but this move away from a usable free plan makes me switch elsewhere.

    Hi @silgo ,

    Greetings from CookieYes!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’re disappointed with your experience.

We’d like to clarify that CookieYes still offers a free plan with core consent management features for websites. As privacy regulations continue to evolve, we’ve had to invest more in compliance, security, infrastructure, and ongoing improvements to the platform. Because of this, some advanced features are now included in our premium plans so we can continue providing a reliable and legally up-to-date service.

We understand that these changes may be frustrating, especially for personal or low-budget projects. However, we remain committed to keeping the free version useful for basic compliance needs, and we truly value feedback like yours as we continue to improve the plugin.

If there’s a specific feature you feel was important or recently changed, we’d really appreciate hearing more about it. Please feel free to reach out to us at support@cookieyes.com, and we’ll be happy to continue the conversation and help in any way we can.
