Hi John,
WP Rollback will list any and all tags that a plugin has. You can see all the tags available for that plugin on their SVN repo here:
http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/dsidxpress/tags/
So, that’s not a mistake at all. But I can’t speak as to why that developer has developed so many more versions but is keeping the live version to 2.1.26 instead of any of the latest that are already hosted in his/her repo.
I actually published an article about how plugin devs can use Rollback to make beta versions of their plugin easily available to users. You can read that here: http://wordimpress.com/beta-testing-wordpress-plugins-with-wp-rollback/
So, again, I can’t speak to WHY this author is doing that, but it’s definitely not a bug. Thanks!
Hi,
Thank you for the background!
My apologies however: this appears to be a sorting issue, rather than an available/published version issue. Turns out “26” is newer (and a higher number) than “9”… go figure 🙂 I was reading it wrong because of the way it is sorted in the Rollback Version List, as well as at the link you provided.
But thanks again.
John
Hey… Nice job on the v1.3 update and Sorting of prior versions !!!!
Thanks John 🙂
That was a fun one to fix!
If you like our plugin we’d love a review from you: https://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/wp-rollback
Thanks again!
