Version/Permalinks

    Part a – how do i tell what version of WP I am using? I feel silly asking but i honestly cannot tell.

    Part b – I want to change the permalink structure yet I cannot find it ANYWHERE!!!. All blog posts/videos etc show the permalink page easily seen under link options and of course “permalinks” but on my version it is nowhere to be seen or found.

    Log into your admin area, it should contain the version in the top left “section” where it has all of your sites stats.

    If you can’t find it there, can you provide us with the URL? We can find it from there.

    In the newest version of WordPress, permalinks can be set by visiting Settings->Permalinks from the left hand menu or by visiting http://yoursite.com/wp-admin/options-permalink.php

    Are you using self-hosted WordPress or WordPress.com?

    If you are using WordPress.com you won’t have the option to change permalinks and you are posting in the wrong place – support for WordPress.com is handled at http://en.support.wordpress.com

    If, however, you are using self-hosted WordPress, please post your site URL.
