Support » Theme: Responsive » Version control of individual theme files

  • Call us paranoid, but before we update our site theme and plugins, we perform diffs and version checks of individual files to review, confirm and authorize changes to our production site. We’ve noticed that changes are being made to individual Responsive theme files (e.g. header.php, footer.php, etc) without updating the version number in each file (i.e. changes are made to individual files, but the the file version stated in the file comments is not updated from 1.2 to 1.3).

Not that this is a problem for us, but it is helpful to know – have you abondoned versioning of individual theme files?

Thank you for a great theme and for your great support! We know it’s a lot of work to maintain a theme like this and appreciate it very much.

Yes, it seems that we have missed making version changes for files. But thanks for letting us know.
Thanks for your good words and we appreciate your feedback.
