    Hello all,
I was updating to 4.2.2 when my browser screen went completely blank i.e. white. I’ve tried to go to my login page to login but again it’s completely blank. My site itself is still loading I just can’t login to WP. This has never happened with any other update. I’m not an WP expert so should I do a complete manual restore via FTP (site & database) or is there something else I can do?

    More info:
    Updating from 4.2.1
Main Plugins – Akismet, Back up Buddy, Ninja Forms, Typeset fonts for WP, W3 Total Cache, Wordfence, WordPress SEO, WP Optimize, Smushit.

    Also using Max CDN.

    Thank you.

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

Thank you very much James, I appreciate your help. As it turned out it was a theme issue which has now been resolved.
    All the best mate.
