Version 2 bug

Hello,

I am using the latest WordPress on Nginx server with PHP 7.
Version 2 of Loco Translate has some weird bug, when I tried to go to the main plugin screen (Manage Translation), instead of seeing my active theme’s name I saw a huge string and found that I need to use mbstring php extension so I turned it on and the problem still exists.
I switched back to Loco Translate Legacy (Version 1) using the options menu and it works fine. I couldn’t find any server settings guidelines.

Interesting, thanks.

Loco Translate has pulled that string directly from WordPress’s internal function that parses all the headers from your style.css file (see get_file_data). This looks like a a bug coming from that functionality, as opposed to the bug being in Loco Translate.

I can only guess at the cause. Perhaps your style.css file is badly encoded. If you post a download or a link to a site running the theme I can tell you.

My stylesheets seem to be encoded fine, the website is currently under development. Website

The child theme style.css file has an invalid header. It’s all on one line.

http://138.201.200.55/~yondrorc/naomidror/wp-content/themes/total-child-theme/style.css

See your parent theme for the correct way to do this:
http://138.201.200.55/~yondrorc/naomidror/wp-content/themes/Total/style.css

I’m closing this ticket because the issue is external to Loco Translate. If you have further problems with this theme, please start a new thread.
