I have a similar problem (visually anyway) as per arswebdesign but no security error.

When I use the gutenberg photo gallery block to insert a gallery on a new (or any) page then all I see is a blue boredered retangular box with a blue “insert into post” button about 20% of the along the top boundary of the blue box. None of the options to configure the gallery are visible. So there is obviously a conflict somewhere which I dont have the skill set to describe.

also when I edit a previously configured photo gallery block in a page that displays the gallery correct;y, the blue ‘edit’ button does not work either.

I have been able to use WP classic page editor to create a shortcode and then insert that into a gutenberg shortcode block. Not a real or long term solution.

I use weaver xtreme as a WP theme and have no problems with any other plugins.

Hello, I'm not sure if it is the same problem but this is mine:

    WordPress version: 7.1 managed

    Photo Gallery (10Web) version:

Previously: Photo Gallery Basic 1.8.44 (free and now no longer updated)

Currently: Photo Gallery Basic (latest paid version downloaded from 10Web)

After recent updates to WordPress and/or the Photo Gallery plugin, two problems appeared:

    Photo Gallery block is broken

The Photo Gallery Gutenberg block no longer loads its gallery selection interface.

Instead, WordPress shows a generic “Insert into post” media modal.

This happens even with all other plugins disabled and in Twenty Twenty Five.

Updating Photo Gallery to the paid version did not resolve the issue.

I have tried to insert the gallery using shortcode

Any shortcode, including WordPress’s built in [gallery], displays as plain text or disappears.

This happens in both my child theme and the default Twenty Twenty Five theme.

Disabling all plugins except Photo Gallery and publishing a new test page does not fix it.

Updating Photo Gallery to the paid version did not resolve the issue.

Both issues began only after the updates. This is caused by a WordPress core change or a compatibility issue with Photo Gallery.

After I restored a back up, I was again able to load the gallery using the Gutenberg block but this was reversed by the subsequent automatic WordPress update to 7.1.

Apologies – i only meant the outcome was similar ,ie i can not add a gallery using gutenberg but i can do so using the short code process- not because i had a technical error that i could report.

Also i was unaware of “Photo Gallery Basic 1.8.44 (free and now no longer updated)” which is what i was using.
