    In Ultimate Member 2.0.38 we are having an issue with the Verification Email not being received. We took a look at the documents and the other posts and this is what we have tried. All other emails are being received from Ultimate Member and other plugins – the only one that is having an issue is the verification.

    1. Added a new user role in UM and changed the setting to require the email verification. We also insured that the UM/Account Activation was checked. Then we tested it and the admin received the email that the user was registered but we never received the email (using a different email address) with the link to verify. Checked the spam folders as well.

    2. Added a user manually through the UM interface and the email was not received with the verification link.

    3. Used the UM interface to have the email resent and it was not received.

    Any ideas on how to correct this would be appreciated. We could only find those two switches – one in the UM Email and the other in the User Role and both are checked/on.

    Do you have an SMTP plugin installed?
    Have you tried to do a quick conflict test so we can rule out any conflicts with other plugins or your theme? Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.





    After further research we discovered that it’s not a conflict with other plugins. In fact no email is being sent to addresses. We installed an smtp plugin to use smtp instead of php mail only to discover that and the Office365 email solution will not allow smtp connections through a WordPress plugin even with authentication. So I assume the solution to this issue is to change email providers if we plan on continuing to use Ultimate Member.
