verification email not coming through

have added the wordpress plug in and set up. I am trying to use the cookie scanner function but when I try and connect I get a box saying –
Pending email verification!

If you didn’t receive the verification email, click here to resend.

I have tried resending, checked smap etc but no email ever comes through – please advise?
