Could you please let me know, this plugin free version support for automatic renewal for subscription.
I am using this plugin and it is enable for vault. But for Paypal payments it is not renewing (renewal period for 1 day). Do we need to change Paypal account settings also? And is it working for sandbox account ?

Hello @uthpalasim

Thank you for your question. This plugin is available only as a free version.

Regarding subscriptions, automatic renewals are supported in two modes. The first mode is Vaulting, which you have already enabled. However, this requires Reference Transactions to be activated in your PayPal account. The second mode is PayPal Subscriptions, which does not require vaulting but comes with some limitations compared to the first option. More info on this area can be found in our subscriptions FAQ.

If PayPal payments are not renewing automatically, you can share us log to investigate further. Please note that these log files are only generated if “Logging” is activated in your plugin settings. You can enable this feature from the “Connection” tab in your plugin settings. Once “Logging” is enabled, every transaction will generate a log entry.

Additionally, automatic renewals should work with a sandbox account, as it is preoccupied with Reference Transactions by default.

Hello @uthpalasim

There is nothing specifically wrong with the logs, with one exception related to the error message: Unknown error while connecting to PayPal. Status code: 0. However, this appears to be a temporary issue that did not affect the order process.

The last part of the logs shows that the order was completed successfully. I recommend trying to renew the subscription in question via the order action and sharing any further logs if the issue persists.

Hello @uthpalasim

Just to clarify, are you currently onboarded with a sandbox account or a live account? The order logs you provided appear to be from a sandbox environment. With sandbox theres no need to enable anything, however with live account please take a look on this documenation.

Regarding order actions, you can find them in the subscriptions area. Simply append the following slug to your WordPress URL: /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=shop_subscription
