Variation.php does not work

The variation.php file that is inside woocommerce / templates / single-product / add-to-cart that returns the description and price of a variable product does not return anything on my page.
The div that was for this data, woocommerce-variation single_variation, is empty.
Does anyone know what can be happening? I’m using a custom theme. Using the StoreFront theme is working.
