With WooCommerce, you don’t necessarily need to add images for each variation individually as it allows you to set a default image for the product, and this image will be used across all variations unless you specify otherwise.
To do this, simply go to your product page in the backend, and under ‘Product Short Description’, upload the image you want to use for all variations.
However, if you want to display different images for different colors or sizes, you will need to add images to those specific variations with the help of the WooCommerce Additional Variation Images. You can find more information on the plugin here.
