Hi Julie, the variation control does not allow for different prices. You can use the variation control in the following manner.

    Method 1

    [wp_cart_button name=”Test Product” price=”29.95″ var1=”Size|small|medium|large” var2=”Color|red|green|blue”]

    Method 2

    [wp_cart_button name=”Test Product” price=”29.95″ var1=”Size|small|medium|large” var2=”Color|red|green|blue” var3=”Sleeve|short|full”]

Thank you for your response, mbrsolution. According to documentation found here:

    https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/how-to-use-variation-control-in-wordpress-estore-plugin-345

you can use pricing variations. I thought it might also work with Simple Shopping Cart, as it uses the same shortcodes.

Thank you again mbrsolution. I eventually realized it was the eStore plugin — too bad it wouldn’t work in this case!

    I’ll mark the issue resolved.

Resolution was that Simple Shopping Cart does not use price variations.

    Hello mbrsolution,

I was just wondering if there is a way you can get rid of the price difference in the drop down menu as seen below in the screen show:

    Screenshot 1

Where it says in brackets [ + $5.00] I would like to not see that and it just be reflected in the final price instead.

    Thanks

@corytracy what is the shortcode you are currently using?

    [wp_cart_button name=”Jewel of the Rockies” price=”1495″ var1=”Select Size|14×20 inch: $1,495.00|20×30 inch: $2,795.00:1300|30×45 inch: $4,895.00:3400|40×60 inch: $7,995.00:6500″ var2=”Select Media|Giclee Canvas Print – Print Only|Premium Photographic Print – Print Only”][show_wp_shopping_cart]

The first variation is the different sizes with the correlating price followed by the price variation code (:1300 etc…) I would like there to be no brackets [ +1,300] in the drop down menu.

The above code is actually not working since upgrading from wp shopping cart to wp estore.

it is showing the following (screenshot)

    screenshot 1

The prices have not become variable and are not actually showing the price above the drop down menus either. as they should.

    Screenshot 2

Thanks, any help is much appreciated.

Here is the URL to see for yourself:

    Thanks

I would not like to add products through the WP estore I would rather just use short code and add the drop down menus and price and size variations to my existing layout and image>=.

    Is that possible?

Hi, if you are referring to the eStore plugin then I cannot help you here. You need to ask your question in the following support forum.

    Thank you
