Value on submit button

I have a pair of contact forms and on neither does my setting for the value work. On one form I’ve been able to make the value I want to appear by using that value for the id:
[submit id=”Tell Me More!” ]
On the other that hasn’t worked:
[submit id=”Subscribe” ]
On that form the value on the submit button shows up as “Send”.
