    Potential orders are resulting in the same VALIDATION_ERROR as is occurring for the user in the thread below mine. I have been using this plugin without issue until the last couple of days. I feel certain that the answer that PayPal gives you regarding the other user’s issue will also apply to me. I’m submitting this only to be informed when you and PayPal find the resolution.

    FYI, you asked the other user to use the “Help Widget” to submit more information, and I apologize but I don’t know where I would find this. I would like to send you the error log. For now, this seems pertinent…

    [error] => Array ( [name] => UNPROCESSABLE_ENTITY [details] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [location] => body [issue] => VALIDATION_ERROR [description] => VALIDATION_ERROR ) ) [message] => The requested action could not be performed, semantically incorrect, or failed business validation. [debug_id] => a1630991ad111 [links] => Array ( [0] => Array ( [href] => https://developer.paypal.com/api/rest/reference/orders/v2/errors/#VALIDATION_ERROR [rel] => information_link [method] => GET ) ) )

    Hi @ecosmartshades

    Thank you for contacting Payment Plugins. We have submitted an escalation ticket to PayPal and are waiting to hear back from them. I will update that ticket with the debug ID information that you shared.

    Have you tried another PayPal plugin in the interim and experienced the same error? That will be helpful to add to the ticket we have open with PayPal.

    Kind Regards

    Thanks for the quick reply!

    Some orders were getting an “Invalid IP Address” error when using the AngellEye plugin the night before I switched to your plugin and started getting the validation error. Drew Angell said he worked with PayPal to identify and resolve the IP address error, but I’ve only just this morning switched back to AngellEye, and I haven’t had any orders since then.

    For what it’s worth, the logs didn’t seem to give any more information than just “Invalid IP Address”. I think the only reason it was able to be fixed so quickly was because they could see the error coming through from many users of the AngellEye plugin.

    Hi @ecosmartshades

    Thank you for that helpful information.

    My understanding is the Angelleye plugin utilizes what’s called a third party integration rather than a first party integration like this plugin.

    It’s likely that the validation error you’re seeing is specific to first party integrations as PayPal handles those API requests slightly different.

    Once we receive a response from PayPal I will update this thread ASAP.
