    Hey Greg,

    Thanks for reporting this; this is a new bug. Let me see if I can work something out on it.

    Without testing, I’m going to look at adding a check that if the default values are still present, to clear them out on submit, so that MailChimp’s validation would then kick in.

    Got it working. In a short bit, you’ll see version 1.1.2 available for download in your Dashboard. This adds code to clear out any default text from the name fields on submit, so they’ll return to MailChimp as blank and trigger validation there.

    That works great! Thank you for the fast response. The update hasn’t shown up in the Dashboard yet but I’ll keep an eye out for it.
