• When the plugin is installed on the site it does significantly improve core web vital scores but it does not allow us to access UX Builder to edit the site and we have to deactivate the plugin in order to get onto the pages.

    Hi,

Thanks for contacting us about this! Can you let me know if you are using any of the minification features of WP-Optimize? This issue sounds like it would be related to the Javascript Minification and Merging feature.

Also, if you keep WP-Optimize activated and try to edit a page, can you check the browser console and let me know what errors you see?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

I am using the minify settings in WP-Optimize, all options are enabled on the minify status tab. On the javascript tab I have ‘Enable minification of JavaScript files’ turned on but the other two turned off. ‘Asynchronously load selected JavaScript files’ and ‘delay JS’ are also turned on. Within the setting tab I have turned on; ‘ Merge inline extra CSS and JavaScript ‘, ‘ Disable Minify for logged-in users’, and ‘Remove default WordPress and TinyMCE icons’.

When I try to edit a page the console tab shows deprecated features used, uncaught type errors, uncaught reference errors.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks so much for the update. As a first test can you try disabling the “Delay JS” feature?

Let me know how it goes!

    Hi,

I tried disabling that feature and it does let the UX builder load but it also drops the site performance from 90 to 40.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks so much for confirming that. I’ll bring this issue up with Product Management to see if we can add something to a future release that will let you disable the Delay JS feature for logged in users or when in the admin side similar to our checkbox to disable minification for logged in users.

    Hi,

That’s great, thank you. Please let me know if that functionality gets added.
