Hi @tanner96
FDP doesn’t run if you have a query argument in the URL.
This is to prevent serious issues that may occur with some plugins.
There are some plugins that for ajax requests instead of using the best practices call the homepage adding some parameters to the URL. If you have one of those plugins and you disable some plugins on the homepage, you will have some plugins that are disabled during an action even if they should be active.
This is only for the homepage.
If you need to disable specific plugins when you have the parameter utm_source in the URL, you can use the settings in Freesoul Deactivate Plugins => Custom URLs => Frontend URLs.
Use the match *utm_source=* to disable specific plugins every time you have that parameter, no matter the value.
If you want to disable specific plugins only for specific values of the parameter, you can use a match that looks like *utm_source=my-specific-value*
If you have more rules, remember that the priority is given by the row position. Drag to the top the match that you want with higher priority.
Let me know if it works.
Hi @tanner96
I will close this thread, but if you still need help don’t hesitate to open it again and reply.
Thank you for the response,
Although this is a piece of the workaround, we would like the ability to add URL’s that will automatically assume the same settings as the other pages.
So, instead of disabling a list of plugins for EVERY url containing “query” (which could get even messier)
We simply could set or even check “include utm_source” with all previous settings per page
YOu are welcome.
This problem should occur only on the homepage. On all other pages also if you add a parameter like ?utm_source=somehing it works as you say.
If you use the match https://ellasbubbles.com/?utm_source*, or https://ellasbubbles.com/?utm_* it will work only for the homepage, and on all the other pages it should work as usual. If it’s not so let me know.
So, you should practically copy the settings of the homepage to the custom URLs settings using a match as mentioned above.
This worked perfectly, thank you! Although I was unable to Copy/Paste in this section – I was able to replicate the same settings as the home page and all is working as intended
I appreciate it
You are welcome @tanner96
Have you tried to copy the row settings by clicking on the 13th icon that you see here?: https://freesoul-deactivate-plugins.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/fdp-action-buttons.png
Then you can paste the copied settings by clicking on the next icon.
You can also use shortcut C to copy the row settings and then V to paste it in the destination row. Here you have the list of shortcuts: https://freesoul-deactivate-plugins.com/shortcuts/
Let me know if in your case it doesn’t work. Theoretically, it should always work.
Ok, I see it. Copy/paste and shortcuts don’t work in the Custom URLs settings page. They work on all other pages but not where you needed it 🙂 I realize it now. Probably with the next version it will work also there. But you have already done it.
In any case, I’m happy that you reached your final goal.
Most definitely, and happy I could partially contribute to a future update
Feel free to close this
A true pleasure,
Thank you very much @tanner96 !
A real pleasure for me too.
