Using WP Knowledgebase with Restrict User Access

We would like to use WP Knowledgebase on our corporate intranet and set up article categories per department.

For regular pages with department-specific information, we use the plugin Restrict User Access, which works perfectly: create an access group, assign the page(s) and optionally child-pages and finally add members to the group. Now only signed-in people with the correct access group membership can access the defined page(s).

Will that plugin also work for restricting access to WP Knowledgebase categories?
