Using to embed pdfs via URL – issue

    Having found ‘mobile experience’ of opening pdfs in iframes was fundamentally broke ‘Download button’ presented – Ive been testing different plugins.

    The experience ‘document embedder’ gives when its used to open remote pdfs is a warning modal telling the user ‘the website is trying to download multple files’ Im not clear what part of the tech leads this to occur, but thats worse than the generic ‘open pdf within an iframe experience’.

    Noting in case anyone tests the component – to support opening ‘external pdfs’ – the experience is peculiar to say the least on a mobile.

    Thank you very much for sharing this detailed feedback and for testing the plugin on mobile. We really appreciate you pointing this out.

    Could you please let us know whether you are using the Document Embedder module or the Document Library module to open the remote PDFs? This will help us better understand which part of the experience is causing the multiple-download warning on mobile.

    In any case, we are already working on a new version with improvements to the PDF viewing experience, and we’ll make sure to take this feedback into consideration as well.
