Using the LARGE() function

    Hi – I want to find the 3 largest values in columns G to N of my table but I specifically want to EXCLUDE columns J and L, so my final formula is [ Col J + Col L ]+[ (3 largest values in Cols G,H,I,K,M,N) ]. Is this possible?

    Thanks for your question, I’ll be happy to help!

    Now, this is more a question around Excel formulas, and I think this might work (not tested):

    Largest value:

    =LARGE( CHOOSECOLS( G1:N1000, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 ), 1 )

    2nd-largest values:

    =LARGE( CHOOSECOLS( G1:N1000, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 ), 2 )

    3rd-largest value:

    =LARGE( CHOOSECOLS( G1:N1000, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 ), 3 )

    This is based on Excel’s LARGE and CHOOSECOLS functions.
