Using Portfolio Project Categories

Recently, our organization had a new website built for us. I am now the admin for the website and am in charge of adding/subtracting material from our site.

One thing that was set up was different Portfolio > Project Categories. Two of them have been created. How do I find out how/where these categories are linked to?

For example, I have a new event that I add to our site. I tag it with the “Events” tag. I see this new event on our Events page and Media page. But, I dont want it to show up on our “Media” page. I just want it to show up on the Events page.

How do I adjust where these Project Categories are linked to???
