Using jquery autocomplete for input fields other than search

I have the Autocomplete plugin from hereswhatidid .

I’d like to be able to use the jquery autocomplete widget with other input fields besides the wordpress search field. I’d like to be able to query another database for the results. Since this plugin loads the autocomplete script already is there a way I can make use of it without loading it again?
