• Hi,

I am going to start a blog where I will be uploading images (taken with the iphone and ipad) and writing posts using my iphone and ipad.

Do you guys not worry about original image size when uploading it from your iphone and ipad? I guess they would just take up server space (1-3MB apiece).

Also, I noticed that they all seem to go in titled “image” then “image1” etc. Do you worry about naming.

I’m just looking for advice on best practices as I have not done a lot of pressing from my mobile devices.

    Thanks.

  • I’m not worried about server space — I have a hosting account with unlimited space. Many hosts do, nowadays.

Not really worried about bandwidth either — my phone plan gives me plenty of GBs of data up/down.

Naming is a bit of an issue alright, because iPhone’s default names are not that great. But you can always change that later, if it really bugs you.

Thanks. I found a couple apps on the app store that take pictures at lower resolutions so I may utilize a bit of both.

It was odd when I did a test run of uploading images directly from my iphone directly from just using my website backend it renamed my images “image” then “image1” etc. Strange.

I also tested the wordpress app from the appstore. I found it disappointing that it doesn’t look like it supports custom post types.
