Using AFC to create a support forum?

Would it be smart to create a support forum based on the ACF plugin?
I don’t care about development time, it probably takes way more time rather than simply installing bbPress. But just from a performance standpoint would it matter if I created a few Custom Post Types in my WordPress site and use the front-end code and templates to post topics into them through ACF?
In the long run would it slow down WordPress a lot when people are viewing those topics front-end?
