Hi there @vischu,
Just to clarify, the users were in “Subscribed” status, and then suddenly switched to “Unsubscribed” status without having unsubscribed, correct? Was there any other action around the time they were unsubscribed, such as clicking a different link in a newsletter (in other words, not the “Unsubscribe” link, but a different link), or placing a WooCommerce order, or anything else?
Were there any other changes / updates / etc that took place on the site around the same time?
As you might expect, “randomly unsubscribing” subscribers is definitely not expected behavior, so it’s hard to say offhand what might have caused this.
Also, if you can provide a URL to a sign-up form on your site, we can take a look and test subscribing/etc to see if anything stands out.

Hi@kellymetal,
Yes they were in Subscribed status and suddenly switched. I am not sure if there was any other action around that time, but I’m pretty sure one of the subscribers clicked on the link to read the mail in the browser. It is hard to tell if anything else happened as we don’t know at what point the unsubscribe took place. We only check once a week or so.
You can check the sign-up form here: https://nvtbangkok.org/aanmelden-nieuwsbrief/
Thanks for your efforts.
Hi there @vischu 👋🏽
I have yet another question. Can you please confirm whether their status is now ‘Unsubscribed’ or ‘Inactive’.
If they appear as Inactive it could be related to this: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/264-inactive-subscribers
Please keep us posted, we’ll be glad to keep troubleshooting this issue with you.
Thanks
Hi there @vischu,
We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
