USERNAME IS REQUIRED

    For several days I could not get past the breakdown between Forminator and WP mandatory USERNAME when creating a user registration form. I attempted to create a checkbox selection offering GUEST and MEMBERSHIP level registration where as the Guest would have no access, only updated blog content sent. Finally, the loop WP creates, was defeated by adding an additional meta map to the Forminator user registration. The original field for USERNAME is already mapped, but will not work if no data is input even if you select email and make it a mandatory field. However, if you add an Meta field at the bottom of the USER REGISTRATION, and repeat the USERNAME with EMAIL, WP will allow the submission.

    Hi @majorpe ,

    I hope you’re doing well.

    Please note that the registration form’s main feature is to create/register a user. If it’s not able to create the user, it will fail due to the internal validations.

    In this case, I understand that you want to allow your visitors to access as a guest without creating any user at all. In this case, depending on your page builder, you could use a tab to show/hide the registration form, and use 2 forms instead of 1.

    In other words, switch the checkbox with a tab or a button that redirects to the form that you want to use depending on the case.

    In case that’s not what you want to achieve, could you give us more info, please?
