username in wordpress.org vs. .com

    I accidentally signed up for a username with this forum, thinking that I was signing up with all of wordpress across the board. I wasn’t. Being able to sign on to the forums on .org has no bearing on being able to sign up or even login in any way on wordpress.com.

    Now, not only is my preferred username taken (by myself), but my email address also already has an account connected to it, but not, apparently, an account that can actually have a blog.

    Thoughts? Please?

    You can sign up at .com with the same username but not the same email.
