    After enabling the new firewall with server configuration set at CGI/FastCGI I see that there is a file called .user.ini created whit this lines:

    ; Wordfence WAF
    auto_prepend_file = ‘/home/users/alwinftp/alwinkoops.nl/wordfence-waf.php’
    ; END Wordfence WAF

    My question: is it normal that this file is created after enabling the firewall (and also enabling Live Traffic) in Wordfence?

  • Hello Alwin,
    Yes, it’s normal. This file is needed for the new Wordfence feature “Wordfence Web Application Firewall”. It helps the Firewall intercept attacks before WordPress themes and plugins are loaded.
