    Hi,

I’m trying to use ‘Import users from CSV with meta’ to upload around 400 users to my woocommerce shop. I’m creating a new website and the users from the old website need to be uploaded.

As a test, I’ve just tried to import a 2 of my users from a list of around 400. I created a separate spreadsheet with 2 users included.

They uploaded to wordpress fine, but when I tried to log in using the details they didn’t work.

I only used the first 2 fields:

    Username and Password

    example: username – user1@gmail.com – password – LKJcvvWWx32400

Is it ok to use the email address instead of username? Is that why the details won’t work?

    Many thanks,

    Stephen

    harrisoneds,

Read the documentation, you have to use the correct fields and the correct field order.

    Please read it.

    Thanks.

Thanks Javier, all I saw was a screenshot showing how to set out the information. I didn’t find a list of step by step instructions that’s what I was looking for. Do you have a link please?
    Many thanks!

In the plugin, you have a “Documentation” tab.

Is it possible to just add the email and password fields and not use the username, I think this is where the possible exists.

    No, it is not possible.

You have to duplicate the data Username and Email in two different columns.

If it would be possible, it would be written in documentation.

I struggled to find any documentation in the plugin, I had the following options:

    Description – Installation – Screenshots – Changelog – FAQ – Other – Notes – Reviews

Under FAQ – it said ‘not yet’ It would be helpful to other users to include this information and other basic queries in the FAQ section, it would probably save a lot of time answering ‘newbie’ questions.

    harrisoneds,

Inside the plugin there is a Documentation tab.

Thanks, I have to fill it, we are really busy and none help us with donations or good reviews, it is difficult to give good support without help.
