• I am using the Participants Database on a site and it works well thank you. The problem I am now having is I want to be able to give access to this plugin to only certain membership roles. I am using User Role Editor which normally gives me the ability to do this but for some reason your plugin doesn’t appear in the role capabilities or inside the admin menu editor. Can you suggest an easy way for a novice to be able to give access to your plugin to a custom role that I have created?

The plugin has a setting for user roles, but it doesn’t create it’s own roles or capabilities, so it won’t appear in other plugins. If you go to the settings under the advanced tab, you’ll see a selector for two roles for the plugin, an admin and an “editor.” Your custom role can be selected there.

I saw this area but the custom roles I have created in User Role Editor do not appear in this drop down list. A user role for Shop Manager from WooCommerce is in the drop down though so I know it must be possible to add them into that drop down somehow.

You should check your settings in “User Role Editor” I know these two plugins work together, I’ve tested it.
