I have added a forum to my “startpage” for the sites.
I also changed so that new users could register. I tried it myself to doublecheck but i was still not able to post topics or write in forum. When i´ve registered users earlier (my bloggers) i add their profiles to their specific blog. Now, when i registered myself, id didnt get assigned to any of the blogs. i just found my user in the network admin dashboard. And their is no role assigned as far as i can see. When i look into roles i see there´s a role called forum participant and that is the one i would like to be the default for the users that register themselves. What role are they assigned today and why cant they post in the forum..?

Users are registered to the network, not sites, by default, and have ‘subscriber’ access to all sites on the network.

    What forum is this?

The forum plugin is called bbPress.

So, does this meen that they cant register only as blog participants..?

I am right now not using the option with registration, anyone can write in the forum, which works, but it would be good to “collect” the readers in a database…

    Aha! 😀

(bbPress has extra roles? Really? *goes to look*)

If your users register as Subscribers (i.e. the default role) of the site you added bbPress to, then they can comment. Grab http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/multisite-user-management/

Have them auto-added to that blog with the Subscriber role. Or Forum Participant. Should be good.
