User Profile page error 404 and settings

    I have a user profile form. It shows correctly in form preview.

    I add the short code to a page. If I put the page in Draft mode, it shows correctly in page preview, with the correct profile.
    http://site.com/?page_id=6562&preview=true

    If I publish the page AND set the page to be the User page in UM Settings, UM appends the user name to the URL. It fails with a 404 error.

    If I publish the page AND DO NOT set the page to be the User page in UM Settings, the page displays correctly, with the correct profile.
    http://site.com/user-profile/

    Something isn’t right.

    Update… http://site.com/user-profile/ displays the profile information for the logged in user. If another user is selected from the Members page, it only shows for the logged in user; the selected user is not displayed.

    Permalinks are set to post name.
    Tried adjusting the settings – ‘Stop rewriting rules…’

    Nothing seems to work.
