    Hi,

Recently I just made a new blog website which is still under construction. However, while I was working on my site my user profile won’t change. Between the two users I created which are both admin status only one is responding/changing. So I went into Gravatar to delete the email connected to the user giving me trouble but, when I went back to my website>dashboard>User It was still there. Finally I bulk selected the one user for deletion and it gave me this message, ‘There are no valid users selected for deletion.’ Is WordPress glitched. I’ll try turning off some plugins to see if that fixes it I guess. Aside from my efforts what could be wrong? Please help.

  • both admin status

That’s the problem. Under menu “Settings –> General” there is a field where you enter an email address. The email address is the administrative email address contact. You cannot delete the account that the administrator email account is assigned to.

Thanks for the response however, umm lets see for example I have user “A” and User “B”. Between these two User “A” and its email is stuck on admin yet, is not the email/user I currently have set or want for admin.

When I currently go into the settings you suggested I actually already had User “B” the one I wanted to overtake User “A”. So in the general settings User “A” and its email was replaced with User “B” and it’s email but, User “A” is still being problematic and not changing.

In the sense that it won’t acknowledge the change. Oh and when I did visit General settings before typing this I had seen this message in the Email Address option that caught my eye, “The new address will not become active until confirmed.”

This doesn’t make any sense to me because after I initially put the email in for User “B” I went through that confirmation process. So is that message after confirmation normal? Is there a way for me to reconfirm User “B”s email? IDK

Well again thank you for your time and help. Also excuse the 10 page essay above. I just hope everything makes sense.

It makes sense. It might be a glitch since you mentioned you changed the admin email before making changes.

I think It may be because my website is under construction. I’ll just have to wait to launch my site to be sure. Aside from that thanks for the assistance and I’ll be good from here.
