  • I am assuming the link you sent is actually http://truecajunpottery.com

Have her go to this link: http://truecajunpottery.com/wp-login.php or click Log In at the bottom of your right sidebar.

Have her click the “Forgot Password” link, she can enter her email address she used to register here. She will then get an email with her username, and a link to reset her password.

ok so i went to users tab on side bar

do i have to set up new users each time?

is there a widget or something else i can use

and what about if someone i don’t know wants to leave a comment do i have to sign them up my self

or is it possible to allow people to reg. and post with less things to do to get them in .

i can always delete comments that are bad and make them spam right.

thanks eric was posting when u were

    edit

she did that. she had left a comment before but reg did not see her address. it said no adress like that or what ever

so i went in and set it up again under users and she got in.

thats why i wonder if i have to do this for each one

Under Settings -> General, there is the setting that allows anyone to register to your blog, and the default Role for those users (leave it at subscriber). The Register option should appear right above Log In in your sidebar.

Under Settings-> Discussion in the WP Admin, you can set a lot of settings relating to comments. You can make it so you must approve any comment, or that people must register to your site to comment.

Akismet is a GREAT tool – it should be a default Plugin (Appearance -> Plugins), activate, register for Personal Blog (price is 0-120$, you can get it for free).

Akismet will block 99% of spam, so you shouldn’t need to require people to register to comment, but that’s your decision!

Currently it’s probably set up that nobody can register, since the Register Button is not above Log In. Follow the first paragraph above, then she can Register, and she will have a login for your site.

You will also see her under Users in the back end, once she has registered.
