User cannot edit own profile

When logged in as an admin user, I cannot edit the base profile of that user unless I log out and log back in as a different admin. Then I can see and edit the profile of the other admin user but still not the one I’m logged in as.

I thought it was a bio plug in I’d added but it still did it after deactivating.

When I changed to the Twenty Twelve theme it stopped happening and I can see and edit my own admin user profile.

Any ideas how to fix this as I do like the look of this theme.
