User and Admin Emails are not sent

Hello, unfortunately, I have not found a solution to this issue on the internet. After a subscriber signed up for an account, email notifications to admin and subscriber are not sent automatically. The mails get sent only after manual activation of the subscriber. How to fix this?
I use the free version of the plugin. Registration options for subscribers are set to admin verification required. All relevant emails are activated.
