Hi @www89ee,
If you are having issues fitting the slideshow to your site I can gladly take a look. We have a support forum to seek answers for this sort of thing. Usually it’s the theme that mades it difficult to fit the slideshow in place.
As for blurry images, we crop the images to specified dimensions, but we also offer support for retina devices via typical WP plugins. You could check out https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-retina-2x/

Im sorry for the harsh feedback but i think in year 2018 and with so many plugins, its okay to demand some better scalability.
I installed Smart slider 3 now for example, chose the full-width option, added the same images and it works wonderfully. Images are sharp, the height i set is taken into consideration and everything works as it should with 2 minutes setup.
I think its your cropping settings or something that messes up the images. Anyhow, i suggest you look over your full width/image dimension settings stuff.
All the best, im happy to test it out if you have made some changes.
Hi @www89ee,
These reviews are very important to us, but I understand your frustration.
The width/height are meant to be set to the dimensions you want your images/slideshow to be. We also have a 100% width option (maybe you missed it?), but images will be constrained to the dimensions you specify and cropped accordingly. This allows for greater flexibility.
Images will be blurry only if the original size is less than the expected size. If, for example, you set 400×300 and set 100% width, the image will be blurry at 800×600. It’s best to set it to the max width you expect your slideshow to be.
Another reason we have this cropping system is many users will upload very large images, and this optimizes them for their website. This is critical for users who upload a file that is 1.8mb without really having an understanding of the damage that can do. We take care of it though, making sure it’s SEO ready.
Another reason images might be blurry is if your server is a little bit older, and missing the required cropping libraries. But in that case you would see a notice at the top of the page, so most likely not happening here.
If you would like to link here to a page with the slideshow on it I’m happy to take a look. I can usually tell within seconds what an issue is.
