First, I think Quick-Cache is superb! I tried many others and this one just works and works beautifully. My question is on a plugin. I use the My-Calendar plugin from https://www.joedolson.com/my-calendar/ and I find it is ideal for my use, but the widget in sidebar is cached and I would like to prevent this one widget from being cached. Can the PRO version do that? (I did try a separate widget that indicated it would do that but it failed.) If upgrading will fix this, I’ll submit request to company to do this. Thanks for any tips. Our website is http://ciceronewyork.net and widget is in lower left sidebar.

    Hi David,

Quick Cache is a page caching plugin, which means it caches the output of the page itself. That means it’s not aware of any specific plugins or widgets running on the page.

We do have a feature request open for what’s called Dynamic Fragmentation, which would allow you to exclude specific portions of a page from being cached. If you’d like to see this feature implemented, you can cast your vote by commenting on the GitHub Issue.

Thanks for your response. I read the opinions there and withdraw my request. Quick-cache is superb at what it does. Any change that impacts on performance or has security exposure is a non-starter. I’ve seen other plugins expand to do additional services and every time the quality of the product suffers. Anyway, I appreciate that you listen. I’m also a big fan of Weaver II and Quick-cache is the only one that works flawlessly there.

Thank you for the feedback, David! I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying the plugin. 🙂 We worked with the Weaver II developer to make sure Quick Cache worked smoothly over there, so I’m glad to hear from someone who is making use of that effort! 🙂
