    Hey everyone,

I try to style a website without the classical header. This means, I have to integrate a hamburger menu into the body. When I click on this, I want it to show a dropdown, but, as you can see on the homepage, it just opens a kind of huge popup-window. I can add pages to that, but I can’t use my already created main menu. Is there any way I can achive a dropdown just as it would be in the header?

Hope you understand what I mean.

    Any help is appreciated!

  • Hello @ds112024,

    Thank you for reaching out,

This issue is related to your customization on your website and how you build the site; On your website, a header has been created at the top of the page(not in the correct header positioning: https://postimg.cc/bddpfs7W), and I see that you’re not using the one we provided in the theme.

Since you’re using a customized header, it’s a good idea to check if the author of that block offers the feature you’re looking for. If you’re using the “navigation block” in WordPress, please note that this block doesn’t include the specific features you’re after. Here is that block documentation: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/navigation-block/.

Our recommendation is to use the header provided in the theme to create the header menu for your website. To configure the header, follow the path below and test the header types offered in the theme: WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customizer > Header , then go to the General tab: https://postimg.cc/F7XgXQM5

Please note that if you want to create a hamburger menu that opens a dropdown when clicked, we don’t have this feature in the theme.

However, to create it, you can customize the header as explained here: https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/355-how-to-create-a-custom-header.

To find such a widget or block for the header, you can search in the WordPress repository: https://wp.org/plugins/

Please let me know if you have any questions about the above steps.

    I hope this helps.
    Best Regards

    Hi Shahin,

thank you! As I said, I don’t want to use the header. I managed to integrate the menu, but then decided for a plain link, as dropdown wasn’t possible.

So, we can close this question. Thanks again!

    Hi @ds112024,

Thank you for the update and for clarifying,

I’m glad you were able to integrate the menu and find a solution with the plain link, even if the dropdown wasn’t achievable.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if there is anything else we can help you with.

    Best Regards
