    Meine WP-Demo Seite hat die URL aaa.de

    Ein Verein hat eine Domain xxx.de

    Er will mir die Domain nicht übertragen, sondern umleiten nach aaa.de

    Welche URL zeigt anschließend ein Browser nach der Eingabe von xxx.de?

    aaa.de oder xxx.de?

    Vermute ich richtig, dass der Adminbereich auch nach der Umleitung weiter unter aaa.de erreichbar ist?

    Gibt es eventuell auch noch andere Lösungen, um das Problem zu lösen?

    This depends very much on the terminology of “redirect”. Because:

    • If it is a redirect, aaa.de will be displayed in the browser url line. Search engines will completely ignore xxx.de. But aaa.de will be easy to find.
    • If it is an iframe (which is also often referred to as a redirect), xxx.de will be displayed in the browser URL line. Search engines will ignore xxx.de as there is no content there and display aaa.de.

    The WordPress admin area would still only be accessible at aaa.de.

    An alternative to this type of redirection would be a proxy. In other words, he would have to set up a proxy in his current hosting that loops through every call to aaa.de. This must be provided by the hoster of xxx.de, which in my experience only a few do and then at horrendous surcharges.
