URL Too long

Hello,

I have a problem with search results url.

I have 50 criterias, some are hidden (with css and javascript). When a visitor start a search, everything is fine… unless the url.

The url is too big and i want to reduce it, maybe by not displaying unused criterias (only ten or twelve max are used at a time).

How to do this ? Where ?
