URL not changing on pagination

    Since I’ve installed WP-PageNavi, pagination doesn’t work anymore. The URL remains constant (doesn’t change) when trying to change page number. When trying to change the page, the posts dissapear. Reaching a second page by appending /page/2 does reach the intended page. Deactivating the plugin doesn’t change anything.
    I’m quite new to wordpress so not sure which code I should post that can be relevant. I’m using the Divi (3.19.15) theme and using permalink by post name.

    Installed plugins on WordPress 5.3:
    * WP-PageNavi 2.93.1
    * Styles For WP Pagenavi Addon 1.0.1
    * W3 Total Cache 0.11.0
    * Yoast SEO 12.6.2
    * Image optimization service by Optimole 2.2.6
