Currently it’s not possible to change the sitemap URL without editing the plugin file (although it’s a small edit – just changing pdf_files to pdf in two places).
Can you tell me the reason you’d like it renamed? If it’s about aesthetics or matching a naming convention, that’s useful feedback – but keep in mind that if your current pdf_files-sitemap.xml is already submitted to Google Search Console or indexed, changing the slug means that URL will 404 and you’ll need to resubmit the new one.
If there’s a stronger reason (e.g. a specific tool or integration expects pdf-sitemap.xml), let me know and we can look at adding a filter to make the slug configurable in a future release.
