URL

I am unable to add a URL as it keeps saying:

HTTP request failure
A valid URL was not provided.
HTTP Transport:
string(12) “WP_HTTP_curl”

The URL to import is example: http://www.websiteaddress.co.uk/blog/

I have tried with and without http and with and without / at the end and with and without the ‘blog’ at the end. Please advise.
